Top New Video Games Launching in 2023

Date:

Although there were a few major releases and impressive indies, 2022 was a rather slow year for video games. Developers had to deal with challenging working settings, shutdowns, and other issues brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, and several of the year’s highly anticipated games were ultimately pushed into 2023.

For a third year in a row, major games have been delaying their releases to gain additional time for production. Also, not just once.

Some titles still go through various delays before they may be added to our game collections. With that in mind, consider this a working list of potential 2023 games that you can add to your entertainment list in addition to free casino chips at your fav online casino.

1. Fire Emblem Engine

Yet another year means a new Fire Emblem game. The prominence of this long-running series has skyrocketed in recent years, spawning a slew of spinoffs and sequels for Nintendo Switch. The fantastic Fire Emblem: Three Houses, released in 2019, brought a whole new audience into the fold for the long-running series.

The 2022 release of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes was an alternative reality Musou title. The original series will advance to the next level in 2023 with Fire Emblem Engage. Engage casts you as a bold new protagonist who can call upon and fight with the legendary heroes of Fire Emblem, including Marth, Corrin, Roy, Byleth, and Ike.

Use each to lead your army to victory in dangerous turn-based combat. Many questions remain unanswered regarding Fire Emblem Engage, which only adds to the sequel’s allure.

2. Wild Hearts

With larger monster confrontations, new tools for traps and battling, and a plethora of eye-popping places to conquer, Wild Hearts is a fresh monster-hunting adventure video game that promises to revolutionize the entire action and adventure genre.

In this game, you’ll embark on an exciting adventure through the fantastical kingdom of Azuma, whose design was clearly influenced by medieval Japan and where hordes of monstrous ‘Kemono’ lurk around every corner.

Capcom’s Monster Hunter series fans should expect a familiar experience. Still, Wild Hearts also appears to be brimming with fresh concepts that should add variety to your travels and have you eagerly anticipating your next mission.

3. Atomic Heart

We have been keeping an eye out for Atomic Heart for a while now. It has always seemed as if Mundfish’s grandiose FPS-RPG mix, which takes inspiration from games like BioShock, Far Cry, and Fallout, is too wonderful to be real.

Focus Entertainment and Mundfish, the game’s publisher, have been working together to bring Atomic Heart to the gamers on Xbox Game Pass – February 21, 2023.

4. Forspoken

Frey Holland, a modern-day New York City youngster, finds himself in the mystical country of Athia, where of all things, parkour quickly develops. Frey blasts through the open world of Athia on skates, leaps, and wall runs, all thanks to a magical band and her amazing magical skills.

At first glance, Forspoken’s beautiful visuals made quite an impression. However, the incessant banter in a previous video made many viewers lose interest. When it arrives on the streets, we’ll be able to see how the pair go together.

5. Company of Heroes 3

There will soon be a successor to 2009’s Company of Heroes 2 from developer Relic Entertainment, and it looks like it will significantly improve over its predecessor in every way. The real-time warfare system in Company of Heroes 3 will be pushed to its limits with the addition of next-gen destructible landscapes, offering a spectacular package of action, strategy, and tactics.

6. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order will have a significant successor in March 2023, with the young Jedi Cal Kestis reprising his position as the protagonist. The incidents of the original plot will be reflected in this game, with Kestis trying to navigate his way through a hostile galaxy after Order 66 was issued, mandating the extermination of all Jedi Knights.

Unknown new faces and an abundance of suspense have been shown in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor trailer. Overall, Fallen Order was a smashing success that reassured EA that they could continue to make successful single-player Star Wars games.

7. Dead Island 2

The sequel to Dead Island has been brought back from the dead, complete with a firm release date.

This action role-playing game is Dambuster’s version of the Dead Island series, and it’s scheduled to release in the first quarter of 2019. The game’s tagline is “thrive, not simply survive” amid a Los Angeles overrun by zombies.

The combat is practically dripping with gore, there are many kinds of zombies to learn, and everyone will become bloody.

8. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

After a brief hiatus in which we learned that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had been postponed until May 2023, we can finally confirm that the title will indeed be released in May.

Play as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, or Captain Boomerang and try to stop the evil Brainiac from taking over the world in a story-driven adventure game.

To stop him, you’ll have to track down possessed versions of Justice League heroes, including The Flash, Superman, and Wonder Woman. While the game will feature a rich co-op mode, it will also be playable entirely solo, with character swapping being completely optional. There’s no bad guy in this game that won’t make for a great time.

Conclusion

It looks like 2023 will be a massive year for video games. This list will further be updated as new games are disclosed and launch dates are given. What we have learned so far suggests that 2023 will be a banner year for role-playing games. This year will see the debut of many highly anticipated sequels to popular series.
