According to the manufacturer, AOC’s Agon Pro AG344UXM is a high-end monitor for ambitious gamers. Its 21:9 IPS panel with a high resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels is equipped with a mini LED backlight that offers up to 1,000 nits of maximum brightness and, above all, 1,152 local dimming zones. Therefore, the AG344UXM is certified for VESA DisplayHDR 1000 and is designed to optimally display very bright image areas and deep shadows at the same time.

Up to 170Hz refresh rate and one millisecond GtG response time should ensure tearing and stutter-free gaming. Six game modes and other extras, such as a crosshair overlay, can be selected via the QuickSwitch wired remote or G-Menu software. The monitor can also be adjusted to user preferences by adjusting the height. A logo projector and RGB LED light strips are built into the back for optics, and two 8-watt speakers with DTS for good sound without headphones.

Play and productive work

The Agon Pro AG344UXM should not only be suitable for gaming on the computer, but also for productive work, for example with video or graphics applications. This should not only enable high resolution, but also 10-bit color depth, 99 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage, and 100 percent sRGB.

For connections an HDMI 2.1, a DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB-C connection with DisplayPort function and 90 Watt power delivery are available. An integrated KVM switch and 4-port USB hub with USB-B upstream port allow two computers to be connected simultaneously, such as a gaming PC and a laptop, with control through a set of input devices connected to the monitor. A picture-by-picture mode is also offered.

The 34-inch Agon Pro AG344UXM should be available from July and will cost 1,849 euros (RRP).

The AOC Agon Pro PD32M designed by Porsche Design is based on a 32-inch IPS panel with 4K resolution and mini-LED backlighting.
