VOIN Inferno Update Launches With Massive New Dungeon and Reworked Combat

Date:

Players return to the dark fantasy world of VOIN this week as developer Nikita Sozidar and publisher tinyBuild release the game’s latest major content expansion, the Inferno update, now available on PC through Steam Early Access.

The update introduces a fiery new dungeon environment, larger enemy battles, elemental weapons, and a range of gameplay improvements aimed at refining the action RPG experience. VOIN continues to build momentum among fans of fast-paced hack-and-slash titles, a genre popularized by games such as Diablo and Dark Souls.

Inferno Update Expands VOIN’s Dark Fantasy World

The Inferno update marks the third major content release for VOIN, a hack-and-slash action RPG developed by solo creator Nikita Sozidar.

Set in a grim fantasy universe, the game places players in control of the elemental warrior VOIN as they battle through hostile landscapes filled with supernatural enemies. The new update introduces a blazing region known as The Thousand Names Atheneum, described as a sprawling dungeon environment packed with combat encounters and towering open-air vistas.

According to the developers, the dungeon is five times larger than the previously released Cathedral of the Other Side area.

New Dungeon Features Massive Enemy Battles

Inside the Atheneum, players will face waves of newly added enemies orchestrated by the Mother Herald, a recurring force within the game’s lore.

The update significantly increases combat scale, allowing players to fight as many as 300 enemies simultaneously. To support the larger battles, Inferno adds new elemental weapons and collectible artifacts designed to alter combat strategies and character builds.

Some artifacts may also negatively affect players, adding additional risk-reward mechanics during dungeon runs.

Combat and Difficulty Systems Receive Major Rework

Beyond the new environment, the Inferno update introduces several gameplay adjustments intended to improve pacing and accessibility.

Key changes include:

Rebalanced Difficulty Levels

Developers adjusted enemy scaling and overall challenge progression to create a smoother experience for both new and returning players.

Faster Combat Mechanics

Attack speed systems have been improved to make combat feel more responsive during large-scale encounters.

Updated Save Systems and Quality-of-Life Improvements

The patch also includes reworked save functionality alongside additional quality-of-life enhancements intended to streamline gameplay sessions.

Players can now complete new map-based objectives and earn randomized rewards after each run, encouraging replayability throughout the new dungeon.

Developer Says Inferno Represents Major Step Forward

In a statement accompanying the release, Sozidar said the update reflects a significant portion of the game’s long-term vision.

“Inferno is a huge step toward the vision I have for VOIN,” Sozidar said. “Much of what I’ve dreamed of for the final release is already here, but there’s still more to come and I can’t wait to share what’s next!”

The game remains in Steam Early Access, a model widely used by independent developers in the U.S. gaming industry to gather player feedback while continuing active development.

VOIN Available Now on Steam Early Access

VOIN is currently available for Windows PC via Steam Early Access for $19.99.

The game supports multiple languages, including English, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Polish, and Ukrainian.

Players can follow updates through the game’s official social media channels and Steam page as development continues throughout 2026.

Conclusion

With its largest dungeon to date, expanded combat systems, and broad gameplay refinements, the Inferno update represents a major milestone for VOIN as it continues its Early Access development cycle. The update aims to deepen the game’s fast-paced action while expanding the dark fantasy world that has attracted a growing player base on PC.
