Stray – Long Gameplay Trailer and Release Period for Captivating Cat Adventure Game, Scheduled for PS5, PS4 and PC

Date:

Do you remember Lost ? But yes, the third-person adventure game with a cat that appeared with the first wave of PS5 games last year. The first title of Twelve Blues made an appearance during theAnnapurna Interactive Showcase tonight, after a long promotional shortage.

So we found our feline hero with a trailer of How to play, the one who will have to explore and flee from a living futuristic city, to find his family. The cat’s intelligence and agility will be used to solve interactive puzzles and puzzles of all kinds, while its speed and stealth will be used in more tense phases, and that. accessories will help you even in action scenes. We can also count on our drone friend B12 to interact with the robotic inhabitants of this strange world. Producer Swann Martin-Rage had more to say about this footage at the PlayStation Blog.

Greetings! After a long period of intense work with our team, we are happy to finally be able to tell you more about our game, Stray, with a game trailer to back it up. But first we wanted to give some context to the images you just saw.

Stray is above all an adventure game. The latter tells the story of a cat who accidentally finds himself in a strange and mysterious city and who must go on a long journey to find his family. Exploration is clearly a key part of this game and we love putting TONS of detail at the heart of our environments, we really hope that players will enjoy all the hidden elements of our universe scattered throughout the levels.

And you will discover a lot about this forgotten city and the amazing characters that live there! Not everything will be said or explained clearly, so it is up to you to be careful to find out exactly what this strange place is, who are the people and creatures that inhabit it and the history of this fascinating world in which you will be immersed. .

The cat is undoubtedly the protagonist of this story and it was essential to show all the ways in which it will interact with its environment. Some of these interactions will be helpful and help you solve puzzles as you go along, and others are only there to pay tribute to cats and their owners, who know full well that no sofa will go untouched by their claws.

The unique perspective of playing a cat creates some very interesting opportunities in terms of level design. Some clichés in video games can be hijacked in fun and creative ways: does a door get in your way and block your way? Well, not for a cat! A visibly decorative gutter wrapped around a building? Here is a platform adapted for the legs of a feline!

But while cats can do amazing things, they usually don’t interact very well with new technology. The small drone that you will find during the game, B12, can be made useful by translating the language of the machines that will cross your path or by storing the precious objects that you find along the way. But most of all, B12 is a friend with a mysterious past who will learn more about his past as his relationship with the cat evolves. It will also be a key part of the story.

Their journey certainly won’t be easy, and you’ll find that fast-paced action and sequences are staples of Stray too. Certain areas of the game are much more dangerous and hostile for our little duo and the cat’s agility and speed will be tested to survive certain enemies, such as the swarm of “Zurks” seen in the trailer. The Zurks have a great impact on the lives of the townspeople, but they are not the only enemies you will encounter. And if your agility and speed are real assets in your power, your discretion will have an equally important role to play during your journey through this strange futuristic maze.

We hope that all this information has allowed you to learn more about the world of Stray, and we still have a lot to show you! Another part of the city awaits to be discovered. We gave you a very short description in our first preview. The entire team is back at full speed to give you the best possible experience and we can’t wait to see players explore the world we’ve created next year. Meanwhile, we leave you with the wise words of Oscar, our Office Manager: MIAAAAOUUU!

L’original Lost is now expected early 2022 on PC via Steam, PS4 and PS5, but its precise release date is not yet known.
