Date:

Ubisoft

Microsoft has created a new set of software tools for game developers called FPS Boost. This allows you to quickly improve the frame rate of older games running in newer games. Xbox Series X and Series S Game consoles on a case-by-case basis. FPS Boost will be applied to the first compatible games via automatic updates on Wednesday. The company also said the Xbox update will release new menu icons and options this spring.

Thanks to faster components such as solid state drives and system-wide features such as quick resume, some benefits are automatically applied to all older games running on the new console. However, despite the high speed of the console hardware, the high frame rate does not seem to be one of them.

The first boosted title is Far Cry 4, New super lucky story, Sniper Elite 4, UFC 4 And Watch dogs 2.. As an example, Microsoft claims that the New Super Lucky’s Tale can reach up to 120 frames per second, but the UFC 4 is targeting 60fps on the Xbox Series S. More titles with adjusted frame rates will be available.
