Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City Comes to Apple Arcade July 16

Date:

Just a month ago, three well-known mobile game franchises had piqued user interest in Apple Arcade, Apple’s subscription gaming service. They were Angry Birds Reloaded, Doodle God Universe, and Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City. Rather than being a re-release of an existing game on the App Store, each of these games appears to be a new, but familiar, product from their respective series. Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City is coming to Apple Arcade on July 16.

Apparently Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City seems to be a sequel to version 1.5 of the original chapter released in 2018, bringing with it interesting news and new challenges. In these hours the developer of Alto, Snowman, has unveiled a trailer, which shows a little of what to expect from Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City.

It’s, for the most part, a simple teaser, but it seems clear how the developer wanted to further improve the style of the series. The new setting proposed by Ciudad Perdida already looks magnificent, and will feature dunes, canyons and temples, all elements that fans of the series have known over time.

Alto's Odyssey: The Lost City at Apple Arcade Arrives July 16

As indicated by the App Store metadata when the game appeared in the Coming Soon section of Apple Arcade last month, today’s trailer confirms that Alto’s Odyssey: The Lost City will release in a week, on July 16.

Recall that Apple Arcade was launched in September 2019 and includes access to a series of complete video games, without commercial breaks and without the need to spend additional money on in-app purchases. It is available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV and Mac and costs 4.99 euros per month if you subscribe separately: alternatively it is included in the Apple One package.
